The cold snap is leaving us with frozen cups and the like...
On the plus side, my brother did some modifications to split one of the sheds to bring a few more bodies into the barn.
We ended up bringing six in, they seemed more than happy to come in on this cold day. The young ones were the easiest, the ones that were halterbroke as calves, grabbed them by their collar and they pretty much go where you pull them. One day they will all be this easy to move, that will be smooth and easy, less stressful for us and them.
My sister's Highland, Mr. Haggis seems totally unfazed by these double digits in the negative (-13 this morning)
Two steers going for butcher next week, hopefully loosing those bodies in the shed won't bother the cup too badly. :-/
Having the barn for beef is nice, saves lots of calories on maintaining, but need enough bodies to keep the cups going!!! :)
My nephew is having fun with the hairdryer thawing out the cups right now.

Our cold snap starts today , they all been hanging around the bale ring all night . They can get in when they want to but they got like a pecking order ,the 2 white park heifers lay in a separate shed at night.
