The term hog up cattle refers to putting alot of fat on the, as for a hog to grade in canada they typically have and inch of back fat at least. So the term hog'em up means feed them enough to grade then put on another inch of back fat. At least up in canada with the trend to small framed cattle to get them as thick as possible, so people are fattening breeding cattle to the point where they would be down graded for being over fat. To make it simple i will try to remember to say make them obscenely fat. will that work for you.
