Momma and baby update. Cows.

Help Support CattleToday:

I understand that you are saying the calf is now nursing the cow and getting enough to eat. At least that is what I hope you are saying. I think many of us have become invested in this story, and we hope you won't leave us hanging. If the cow and calf are doing well without help, then your sister is right to let them be. I hope you will continue to keep an eye on them while your sister is on vacation. If she starts to go downhill, please don't let her die. Feeding a calf a bottle is not difficult and is really kind of fun. If the cow can't raise the calf it would be better to sell it to someone who has the time and ability to feed it.

If you can't find a bag of milk replacer buy some gallons of whole milk at the store. She should have a half gallon bottle, warmed to about 100F degrees, twice a day. Or a pint several times a day of she doesn't take the whole amount. Good luck. You will sure develop yourself a pet.

Sorry that it has been so long! I have been busy!

Momma and Baby are doing great! We are almost at our Two-week Mark with the Calf. Momma and Baby are going in and out with our three dexters. The baby is healthy, and nursing, momma are taking excellent care of her. Please remember that I do have a life outside of the internet folks, and that I do not check the forum daily!

Thank you!
