From 6-17-11. These are some pictures taken by a friend who owns an auction company by my parents. They are following I-29 from Omaha to just south of Sioux City.

This is just north of I-680 in Omaha.

Yikes! We are downstream from that, just waiting to see how much water we get. A lot of folks are saying it will be worse than 1993, hope they are wrong.

Those are some phenomenal photos. There nothing easy about a flood or for that matter any disaster. When you see the awesome hand of God you realize how insignificant you really are.

Gonna get worse. The snow melt has not hit yet.

They got the Black Eagle Dam in Great Falls wide open. The Ryan dam is part way open and the Fort Peck overflow is going too.

Summer is 1/3 over here. When does the snow melt in MT?

I heard that this is the second time since Fort Peck was built in the 30s that they used the overflow. Is that correct?

It's a bit crazy down there. The nuclear power plant near Ft. Calhoun, NE is completely surrounded by water. The water table is so high that 8 miles inland from the river there is water rising up from the ground. My parents, who live about 10 miles from the river (luckily in hill country, not on the river bottom) said they can see the river now when before they couldn't.

Steve we are late with the snow melt here. They are saying in another week or so.
The first week of June the Beartooth mountains got 6 feet of snow on them. That will flow into the Yellowstone river and on into the Missouri River.

Yes that is correct about Fort Peck.

A lot of people are saying they cannot remember the last time it flooded like this in Montana.

Here are some pics of the Musselshell River. These were taken on the 3rd of June and the 10th of June.

I believe this is the house of a relative of the pilot who is taking pictures. Thought it was interesting to see the flood levels rising. She lives a few miles from the river.
