Milking inflations

We just started milking Jersey heifers and are having trouble keeping the inflations that we used to use on our holstein cows on the small teats. What kind of inflations are the best to use for small Jersey cows? We are now using Delaval 6100 Cling Soft.

Ask your marketing rep., he sees a lot of dairies with a lot of variables. Most of the herds I test have at least one or two Jerseys and just run them through with the Holsteins. They don't have a problem with the Jerseys krrping them on but at least one or two holsteins will have them sag and do what I call "slurp". One those, they usually just stand there and hold the milker up a little to remove the weight.

Asked one of the cheeses from the DHIA about your problem. He said that the shell around the inflation may have to be changed also, and to talk to your equipment supplier. If you are using very long hoses that can cause a vacuum loss at the claw which can also cause the slippage.
