That was a great link! I got to take a comp flight in an F-16 with my squadron commander flying our fighter as the lead in a flight of four. I was 21 years old and in (what I thought was damn good shape) My commander was a mid 50's Lt. Col, not much of a physical specimen (read slight beer gut). We went on a two hr bombing training run and he truly showed me just what the plane was capable of! He flew the plane, led the flight of four while viewing maps and nailing his training targets. I sat in the back trying to hold my shyt together! Never puked, but got dang close when we came back to the base and did a few rounds in the towers pattern.

After the flight, sat in a briefing discussing the exercise. He and the other pilots headed to the OC for beers, I went home and slept for a day and ahalf! Ahhh to be young and ignorant!!!
