325 million people in the USA. If each person ate a 1/4 pound hamburger each day how many cows at 1100 lbs would it take to furnish the beef. I came up with about 147,727. I am not as good as math as I was when my brain really worked.
 
I think you are a bit low. I'd figure 59 million. Each person would need 91.25 lbs for the year. 91.25 x pop = 29,656.25 M/ lbs divided by 500 average meat yield 59.3125 million cattle - give or take a few
 
74.8 million is my guesstimate, 205k per day. I think you will have a hard time getting 600 pounds off a 1100 lb slaughter cow. Assuming we are slaughtering cows as stated.
