This is a bit convoluted. Granny (black RC) bred to a blaze faced red Fkeckveih calf solid black heifer (X2).
X2 bred to a Red Angus, solid black heifer (Z2)
Z2 bred to a Red Angus for her first 2 calves, one solid red one solid black.
Z2 bred to a Red Angus, Red Baldy calf.
So those white face marking genes can hide for a long time before showing.
A side note is Granny was bred to the same Fleck bull and had a black baldy heifer (W14). W14 bred to a Red Angus bull has had a red baldy calf every year.
