What is a mainetainer heifer? Just a show heifer that has some maine in her?
Also whats a high percentage and a low percentage heifer?

Sounds like a Maine-Anjou X Angus. The high and low % is 25% Maine for low or 75% Maine for high. Mainetainer is like Balancer for a Gelbvieh Angus cross or Lim-Flex for a Lim Angus cross.

MaineTainer is the promotional trademark name given to registered Maine-Anjou seedstock that range in percentage from ¼ to 5/8 percent Maine-Anjou.

I forget and cannot find what other breeds you can use, but I thought it could be any other breed.
