Made a deal on my calves today

I accepted a bid today on my calves for mid October delivery, steers @ 675 lbs $2.155, heifers @600 lbs $1.90, 10 slide. Time will tell if it was the thing to do but it will let me play rancher for another year. Seems to be about 10-12 cents over market at the moment so I don't think I'll get hurt too bad.

That is a pretty good ticket on calves that size. Figuring the exchange it beats what I saw here on Wednesday by a good dime.
