It means that once again, the Bakunawa has risen up from the sea and is devouring the moon, where the moonlight goddess Haylia and her brother the moon god Bulan (who the Bakunawa was tragically in love with) lived.

Might be the first one I recall coming in from the east, then twisting the remaining spectacle in a clockwise direction and retreating in the direction from whence it came.

Yes I am. I enjoyed the view, woke the rooster at 3:30am, and am at work this morning.
I'll bet sleepy Brandon slept through it too.
I'm not so sure, septuagenarians keep odd hours.

I've kept the 'about' same hours for over 50 years now. Sleeping 1/3 of my life away has never been very appealing to me.

You had to get up at 5:30am to see the lunar eclipse here. But with a good mirror and a flashlight you could see Uranus about any time of night.
