I have a yearling bull that has a baseball sized lump protruding down from his belly. Right by the sheath. What is it? Hernia?

It could be a hernia, it could be an abcess, it could be a lot of things. Whatever it is, it shouldn't be there and you need to contact your vet to determine what it is and how to treat it.

If it's where his navel is, most likely a hernia. They are fairly easy to fix, as long as the hole isn't too big, and if you're vet is a good surgeon!

Turned out it was an abcess. Doc. lanced it, drained it, gave him some antibiotics and he is good to go. This thing was hard as a rock. Glad it was no big deal. :)
