Lucky again

The one that had the twins did a bang up job of raising them. She deserves a break and a chance to get some body condition and the twins and the other calves are plenty big to go on some feed. Good for you pulling them and getting the young cows back into better shape. It has been a tough year in many places; drought in some, even too much "washy grass" in others. Our heifers have not done as good as I thought but although we had a lot of greass, we had some real wet places and the grass went through them fast and I think that they did not milk as good as they could have on it. But we have had worse years and weaning some of the calves will get them gaining more. This later grass has actually seen some of them getting more growth around here.

Not a good pic she looks in better shape than she really is. That bag would probably wants some relief though.

Nothing wrong with giving her a break. Bet she would love for that calf to nurse her down tho.
