Losing Hair

I have a little steer calf that is losing hair by the day. His hair loss is on his but as well as on the stomach. I have sprayed him with a solution for mites and lice, and nothing is working. I need halo so I can get the problem fixed.

What have you used for lice?
Is it possible it is mange instead?
I would try some ivomectin, and see if that helps, It knocks the lice and the mange down. If that isn't the problem, it could be a hormone /thyroid imbalance in his body, which would require talk with a vet.

All of mine have been shedding their winter coat for a couple weeks. I comb it out when I am not busy. They fight to get to me when they see me coming. It comes out in gobs. They still scratch when they can. I would guess the old coat itches. May be all that you are seeing.
