We have had several cows die here lately, we finally cut one open one and her liver was completely black. Could you tell me what this could be please.

What do you mean "finally" cut one open??? How long was it dead....a lot of stuff turns black if you wait long enough. These folks will probably want a lot more info before they can diagnose something for you. Youll have to admit its pretty sketchy
