howdy bob my wife likes yer grooming stone but a couple of my horses dont lol.we find it to work great just need to figure out how to get it to go deep in the hair. our offsprings are to thick coated yet to get it to work very well.

I've got one I use on the dog sometimes. (She probably can't remember the last time I wasn't too lazy to do it) It's like a porous piece of lava rock stuff that thins the hair. You just run it across them and I guess the abrasive action cuts the hair. It sticks to the stone then you just peel it off. Makes her hair soft and shiny too. Kinda gotta see it to get an idea, since I'm not explaining it very well. Works pretty slick though. Since Bob posted this 2 1/2 years ago, doubt he'll drop back by to help me explain any better. Picked mine up at the farm store in town for about three bucks.

Thank you Chuck. I didn't even look at the date. Duh!! PS You explained it very well! :)
