The surveillance video will be good to have when you have to fight the unemployment claim.

How about a smoke detector with a camera in it? If they ask about why a smoke detector all of a sudden, simply tell them your ins. co. required it. Might even put up a couple of additional smoke detectors in other locations and replace batteries in existing units to get them to see it as a normal procedure.
