Just a question of curiosity: What is the oldest anyone has had a cow reach? Or heard of? I ask because I have a cow that my dad bought as a calf when I was a teenager. She has to be 15 years old. She looks old, but she gets around, isn't suffering, and is actually doing well (all things considered). I confess she is a pet more than an investment like the rest. It just got me to wondering. Thanks.

My Dad had one that he sent off at 22, she had a calf that year, but couldn't produce enough milk for it, so we bottle raised the calf.

I have Texas Longhorns who traditionally live longer than alot of other breeds-right now I have two that are 14 years old-I did have one pass away last year at 19. It's not uncommon for these cows to live and produce into their twenties.
