Long horn calves.... Question...

I have a rather strange question.... With long-horn calves.. are the calves born with horn stubs??? Dont laugh at me in my stupidity!!

as said in a week or so you can feel the lil nibbs just under the skin.an take another month or so to break through the skin an be seen.

Actually, alot of our calves have fairly large bumps when they are born and really start showing within a couple of weeks. I think alot of it depends on the genetics of the calves. We concentrate on heavy horn genetics in our herd.
