Just curious because last week 100 were loaded up next door to head to Kansas. They were all from the same sire, the contract stipulated it. A high marbling Gardiner bull that reliably produces 50-60 pounders.

I am working hard to get to the point I have a potload of half sibling steers as in our area if you can prove the genetics and have that kind of genetic uniformity it is worth some $$ to the feeders.

Jake, it is worth at least 65 cents per pound here. And they will come get the calves at your place with an 18 wheeler to go directly to the feedlot, skipping the whole salebarn routine and the associated risks.

Those calves brought 65 cents more than the best black hide Charolais crosses we had.
