There's only "X" number of dollars to go around.

The payment per head will depend on the number of applicants and the number of cows submitted.

I think it is for the states where they deemed this year's drought a disaster. If your state was hit hard by the drought they may pay you so much a head. I don't think it is much but it could help. Last time we had something like this, I think they paid us $15 per head for any that we owned for over x number of months.

The amount of money you get is calculated by the total each state is given divided by the number of cows that meet these conditions. So I assume, if you and I can convince everyone not to apply - we could retire. :lol: Otherwise, don't look for much.
