Would like info on cost-effectiveness of using liquid minerals vs. molasses tub minerals. Also, if anyone has a website they can refer me to for price lists on the costs of liquid minerals.

Aren't sure if the costs & effort involved with using tubs vs. liquid minerals is worth it for the liquid system.

Also, if one is using the liquid minerals along with bermuda pasture (during growing season) and 10-12% bermuda round bales, are the 20% range cubes needed for supplement? We are spending a lot of money on minerals and cubes and the molasses mineral tubs--just wondering if there is a more cost-effective way to go???

Thanks,
Bill

We use a protein syrup on Bermuda pasture which contains lots of vitamins and minerals. There are many brands, with all kinds of different supplement levels. My hubby just went through the magazines and had them all send their info and cost sheets.

The brand we use has 35% crude protein, so no cubes. Lots less labor than cubes, which we were feeding every other day. Cattle don't beat up the pickup everytime you enter the pasture, so less cost there.

Still need to keep salt/minerals out. Shy cows and calves use this stuff, where they get chased away from the cubes. All in all, we really prefer it to cubes.
