Linebred calf pics

Thought I would post a few pictures I snapped of one of our linebred bull calves the other night. He is the product of mating a son to a grandaughter. The calf is between 9 1/2 and 10 months of age. As you can tell he has not been pushed at the feedbunk as clean as he is in the brisket.

We bred a grandduaghter of B571 to a son of B571. In other words, this calf has B571 as his paternal grandsire and also his maternal great-grandsire.

Nice calves. Line breeding seems to work well from what Ive ever seen.

We have successfully mated half-siblings and are considering mating a sire to his grandaughter. We have also bred a young bull back to his dam, but the resulting calf has yet to be born.
