My bull is making a good recovery. He is walking all the time now and is able to put weight on the bad left. He limps a bit but gets around fine. He just has this swollen area on the inner tigh but is already chasing after the cows.
I also put up a hot wire so hopefully the bigger bull will stay out..

Glad to hear he is making a recovery. I have lost two to broken legs and one that I remember to a bad hip. He could no longer mount properly. All bull fight results.

Hope he does well. High tensile electrified fence may help. Maybe you can get your neighbor to help with it.

Its all part of the cattle businesss Andrew, which is sad, but if he doesn't get better its the butcher or the barn.

Well I was thinking it... Eric said it.... if the neighbors bull likes it so good in yr pasture.. save some bucks, let him do the breeding..
As far as coyotes getting your cattle......naw, that will never happen, coyotes only eat pretty flowers and grass, dainty things and such.... they wouldnt bother livestock even if they were starving ;-)
