Limi heifer

She's already a month old. Limi breeders-what color is she going to be?

I have no idea. I've actually seen a few stay this awful colour.

I'm not a limi breeder - but she will be black. We have the same coloring in our Simmentals. If they have a black nose, and tail, they are generally black when they "grow up".

I have seen several of them stay that chocolate color with some darker black points

Yep, like Jeanne said, she'll be black~our calves look that color and they turn out black. Cute lil' heifer there!

Hmmm... I've also had some that stay that color.. or will be mostly black with spots of that reddish color on their flanks and shoulders.

Many times that's caused from nutrition. Like lack of copper will make black cattle reddish.

The color of this calf is an everyday average normal color of a black Limousin calf. Nothing to worry about.
