I was just browsing your site, lots of good info, I was going to ask a question but it seems it was answered already, I have some cattle 10,and have started noticing the hair being gone in spots, I had treated them earlier with ivomectin, so it was baffling me, then I read it in this forum that someone says it may be lice with the same symptoms my cattle are having,, I live upstate ny and have been having sub zero degrees for weeks now,,, could the lice live in this weather,, I always thought it was when it started getting a little warm I had to worry about it,,thanks

It seems like the colder the winter the worse the lice are. Pour them again, that should resolve the problem. The lice live right down at skin level and they can live in the most awfull cold. The extreme cold doesn't seem to affect the eggs either, so you'll probably need to pour them again in a couple of weeks.

You just need to watch that whatever you use isn't a grubicide for treatment for warbles. If you did them in the fall already, there probably isn't much roblem with using whatever you used last time. When you treat for grubs (ox warbles), you just have to be sure it is shortly after the egg laying season and before the warbles get migrating through the upper parts of the body. If you have any doubts as to what your particular grub season is, check with a knowlwdable neighbor or your local vet.
