At 80/20 he might not be your friend anymore. 70/30 will turn a good profit, but might be a bit tight on the owner's side. 60/40 is common, but can squeeze the operator. 2/3 1/3 usually can work depending on the agreement on replacements.<p>It all varies of course if grass is supplied, or bulls, or feed. <p>Basically after both sides pay all their operating expenses(don't include purchasing cows) the profit should be 50/50 or close to it.<p>Jason Trowbridge<br>Southern Angus Farms<br>Alberta Canada
