Our heifer finally had her calf Saturday morning. She laid down and spit out an 80 lb bull calf.

We are done till fall :D :D

I believe he is going to have plenty to eat based on her utter. :D

good looking pair, just remember that the udder is swelled for couple of weeks. i ended my spring season with a heifer too. they are suppose to be first oops! i am glad i kept the last one she is milking good too hopefully she will breed back quick. too much milk, slow to breed back, till about year three. i will move her to the fall group. heifers get one chance to move and then bye.....

Good thing he's gonna have plenty to eat cuz he's already got one heck of a frame to fill out.

He is a big framed calf.. :D

That's a good looking pair Mr. John, I'm sure the calve will fill out his frame, he'll be a dandy.
Thanks for the pics.
