The last heifer left to calve finally did. It was an adventure with calving these heifers, had one born in the pond, one I found in the spillway of the pond at about 2 am and 35 degrees outside! But this last one was no problem.

Good deal....how many did you calve out?
We had our last one a couple weeks ago. Was a quiet easy heifer year. We did have to pull 3, but only one was critical, the others we just got tired of waiting. Lost one calf as a 3 day old, we think the fence was struck by lightning where it was sleeping. But we still had a 100% heifer calf crop since we had one have twins, right...lol

We calved out just over 20 heifers. There were a few pulls but all ended up ok.

Congrats! Our last heifer calved a week ago. One pull but similar to cowgirl8, we weren't sure how long she had been in labor and a quick tug with just the chains did the trick. When they do so well it's worth the sleepless nights.
