If you like history, especially aviation history and the World War 2 era, this is interesting. Yesterday (February 10, 2025) was the last flight of the last of seven that were built. The video posted below is the most recent, yesterdays landing so it can be disassembled and transported to Pima where it will be reassembled and placed on static display.
The last remaining four aircraft were beached in 1959 and were to be sold for scrap. Our Canadian friends saved them, turned them into firebombers and used them for another half century. They each had their own name, the "Philippine" Mars began this final journey from Sproat Lake in British Columbia in early December. Had a few mechanicals, but made the final flight yesterday.

There are more videos out there of the earlier flights from Sproat Lake. I'm hoping someone will consolidate them to tell the whole story.
