We had our last calves of the year today. We were able to calve 24 healthy calves since out last loss last December. We had one that we had to pull and the cow prolapsed her uterus but after putting it back in we were able to breed her on our second attempt. I feel that we were very blessed. Most of our calves this year were from AI sires obtained from Sandy Knoll Farm. Our easiest calving sire was the Nemesis bull but we had no trouble with his Ulrick 035U sire. Our pastures were excellent and it allowed the fullblood Gelbvieh genetics to really perform.

Nice.. about 3 years ago I lost two calves in a row, a breech birth, and one that I'm not sure what happened on a 2nd calver.. 2 years ago I lost a twin (breech as well)... I think I'm up to about 50 in a row with no losses... Always try to keep those winning streaks going.

Good to hear you're doing well as well!.. Post some pictures of them if you can :)
