I have been told that the Chianina is the tallest not sure if it is the largest weight wise or not. I think the Maine Anjou would be another larger one too.

> much I am not sure which is the largest breed but the Piedmontese is a very large breed also...I have seen the bulls in person and they are very impressive in size...and I know when they are bred to Pied cows they can have difficulty calving and require c sections...but when bred to cross breeds the likely hood of c sections drop...

> much Purebred Chianinas from Italy originally are the largest cattle I've ever seen. They worked wonders in the 80's for crossbreeding small Angus to get larger and growthier calves with minimal calving problems.
