due to the weather, we were not able to work our cattle as early in the years as usual. Some fo the bull calves had gotten on up in weight, maybe 400 to 600 pounds. We just worked them and the bulls that I castrated (knife) seem to have really swollen scrotal sacks. They seem to be eating fine. Is this anything I need to worry about.

We do ours with a knife, too. The sacks can get awfully big (almost full grown bull size). Very occasionally we'll have one get infected and have to cut him and drain him but as long as they are on grass, its pretty rare. I'd keep an eye on them but it doesn't sound like anything to worry about at this point.
