A few days ago this video was put on our local news. It has become quite a conversation piece. Although the events surrounding the video were tragic the commentary from the alleged victim was quite descriptive.
I don't know how to post the link but it is on www.wkyt.com and is in regards to Man finds himself at gunpoint. Also it has been updated saying something to the affect of 15 minutes of fame.

I saw that. I guess there are some hillbillies down there too but I run in to some here that you wonder if they are aliens from another solar system.

I responded to a citizen complaint one time in the Floyd County area. There were no floors in the house and the hogs were inside with them. I am not exaggerating. This was in the 70s. I guess they were ahead of their time on having pigs as pets.

Down here we don't call em hillbillies. They're red necks or white trash. Descendants of the same lineage however :lol2: I've got some in my family, does that mean that I'm one as well :???: :hide:

Yep. Once a hillbilly always a hillbilly. I use the term with affection.

Those two terms are definitely not synonymous here in my part of the country. I wouldn't mind being called redneck, but would like to think I'm not white trash.

At the end of drive, there is a house that is a trailer home under a roof on stilts. In the drive there are two campers (tiny ones) that are housing more family. Their cows routinely escape due to a lack of feed and weak fencing, so the family lined the fence with used pallets and baling twined them to the fence (after a few subsequent escapes). They are now known as "The Pallet Palace" and make for a pretty good landmark when inviting people over. The good thing is that when they are the representation of what's down the lane, it keeps the riff-raff away.
