There are several knots on a heifer, about 18mo. of age. They are growing really fast. One fell off and immediately started growing again. What is it and what should I do?

Where are the knots? How large are they? Are they oozing, bleeding, have pus in them, etc.? Do your other cattle have them? My first impression is that they might be warts. Are they only on your female(s)? So many questions, so little time...
