So I worked my cows on 5/24 and have now noticed that one of them has a knot the size of a baseball on her neck right in the area where she would have been given a shot. I am in with my herd pretty much everyday to check them and never noticed the knot before, so maybe it has just gotten big enough to really notice it. The knot is hard to the touch (not rock hard, but hard enough) Her health seems fine and she eats just fine.

I know a lot of times a knot will develop right after a shot is given and then gradually go away, but could it keep growing as this has done instead of going away?

Thoughts?

Like everything else, some do and some don;t. We had a cow that had a knot the size of a golf ball from every shot she was given from calfhood, to a cull cow.
