Knot on neck

Cow has a knot on side of neck been there for about a month, started out the size of a softball and now has reduce to baseball size but has grown out to be more pointed. I have been thinking of getting her in the shute and seeing if it is tissue or puss. Question: if puss, should I lance it for drainage?
She seems fine otherwise!!

Probably a reaction at an injection site. It'll go away eventually.

The rule of thumb is, you can lance the lump if it's soft, don't touch it if it's hard.

In my experience they either abcese (drain) or sink back in, wither way they usually go away on their own.
