Klein Grass

I have a Klein grass patch that I use for a hay field that hasn't been worked in who knows how long. I said some thing about disking it under and some one told me you are not suppose to because it is a bunch grass.

They put a pipline across it two years ago and I disked that strip to help smooth it out and it is thicker there.

So... to disk or not to disk? How do yall keep Klein Grass field in shape? Thanks

Your are in Texas and I'm in Indiana--but I never heard of Klein grass. :?:

I put a waterline across my place and I see a positive effect from it. Greener grass where the ground was dug. I can't explain why. The subsoil gets brought to the top when you trench, and the subsoil is always poorer than the topsoil. So, why is the grass greener. Aeration?
About 6 inches from center of the trench.
