So my cat finally had her kittens on Wednesday all healthy although the last one was born breech. I had to be the backyard vet and help him out and clear his airways, made me feel special. She had 4 ginger males. So we still have no idea what the father was :lol2: Photos as promised.

If my backyard genetics are right, the father had to be red.. I was pretty far off with my guess,huh.. :)

Haha, it's a pretty unusual litter though. I called my Mum and she said "4 males? and they're ALL ginger?!" She was just amazed at a) they're all males and b) they're all red. It is pretty convenient. Males sell quicker here and gingers too so I should have no trouble finding homes. For such a young cat she's doing a great job. No one's hungry, they're all getting big and I can't see a runt yet. I'll post some more when they open their eyes. :)

Nope. I double checked their bellies last night to make sure, shame because the white is flashy. It really is a bit of an unusual litter. If you were closer I'd give you the 'demo kitten'. He's the one I use to show people when they want to see/hold them because he doesn't cry so he doesn't stir mum up. Weird because the others love crying. :lol2: He must have been the breech one :lol2:

He may not have anything to say. My Lucycat is a "squeeky cat" she doesn't meow as such, but has a lot of different sounds..Maybe he'll be one of those--very cute, everyone wants Lucy. Have you thought of names?
Mustard is one that comes to mind, then there was the red advertizing cat Morris..Schoolbus(?) Tangerine,Lemondrop,Sunkissed

Nah, if I name them I won't want to give them away. :lol2:

I'm already pretty partial to demo kitten. He's just a happy little guy. I worried for a bit he might have something wrong with him but he's developing the same as the others. Guess we'll have to see.

Need more kitty photos!! They should have their eyes open by now..

I took some photos this morning as one of the kittens put himself in a really good pose. I'm sure you can guess which one. 2 1/2 weeks has gone by so fast.

Oh how cute!! Such a good mommycat. Demo sure is a character already  Really good you're on the other side of the world, else I'd be there with a kitty carrier :lol2: Thanks for the photos

I was actually considering entering Mum next year at the State show in the 'pet' section. She's very friendly so I think she would do quite well.

Be sure you keep a leash on her,new sights/sounds/smells can be quite scarry!

Oh yeah. I went for a look yesterday and there were some very unhappy cats. either there with it's ears back or burrowed under what ever they had in their cage. :lol2: poor cats

Well she has not attacked and killed her young like some cats do. I would say she is a good momma. She is a cute cat and the kittens are cute to. Since it has been 2 and a half weeks she probably wont try to kill and eat any of the young now.

In between the naps they seek and destroy but they aren't causing damage yet. Serious foot fetishes though :lol2: . Under the bed is a good spot to hide from mum. Which then means mum comes over and claws my leg until I reach under and get them out. I'll try an post some pictures soon. Day one of weaning wasn't too successful. Better luck tomorrow.

Yeah I was pretty worried about that Sigma. I'd heard stories but she's really great. They're growing well so I assume physically she's doing a good job as well.

Here Peg. 3 1/2 weeks here. theyre 4 1/2 weeks but they're a bit quick for taking photos. :lol2: First 3 are of Fatty, formerly known as 'demo kitten', who's still my favourite.
