For a solid red continental bull (to breed medium sized crossbred cows in the southeast) for growthy market steers and heifers to retain... which would be your pick?

Do you realize that "growthy" usually equates to large. Do you want to keep or make your replacements larger in this day of expensive inputs?

Terminal should be separate from maternal.

looks like the limmy has a better BW

How is the 92 lb at birth Simmental a 4 star calving ease but the 65 lb at birth Limousin is only 3 stars for calving ease. I understand shape of calf but shape or not I don't see how that is possible.

With that being said I would pick the Simmental if it were not for the birthweight. And I understand CE epds but I would not want to start down that road of having replacements that have 90 plus pounds birthweights in their pedigree. Because you breed them to a another Continental bull and down the line you could have a real train wreck. So go with the Limo.

If I knew from this point forward for a while you were breeding to Angus Bulls then you could still go with the Simmy.

We have heard nothing but great things about Beef Maker, and even bred him to an Angus heifer for a September calf this year. ABS recently had his semen on sale for $14/straw. I picked up a cane, knowing how good he is and can be easily used on heifers. Can not comment on the Limmi, since I do not breed them.
Look at his accuracy, he has put out a lot of calves so his numbers are real. That is why he is such a good heifer bull, he is proven.

I have angus and angusx & will be breeding to angus/brangus for a good while to build up cow #s. Just kicking around thoughts of a cont. AI bull for future.

Justice has 1293 calves recorded at NALF. I would say with a 90+ accuracy he is a proven heifer bull also. ABS does not carry that many Limousin bulls. Not trying to change your choices on bulls but there are a couple of other companies you might not be aware of that sell mostly all Limousin bulls, hence more choices.

I think All Forage nailed it on this one. If I had to make choice it would be the Justice bull, but some have said that he has foot problems in his background.

Limmy folks picking the Limmy bull and Simmy folks choosing the Simmy..! Imagine that...LoL Personally, I go with the Simmental, BUT I also run limousin commercials, so truthfully both could be good choices depending on your goals and what you're trying to improve upon...
