Just ate my 1st steer

I just finished eating a ribeye from my first steer I raised. I have to say it was very good. I was able to sell 3/4 of the meat and buy a momma and calf and keep 1/4 of the meat for the freezer. I used this site as a resource, thanks. Number 2 is a few months from being ready.

That sounds like a plan. He was on the small side. When I bought him last summer he had been a pet. I now realize that a small steer that runs up and wants to play eventually gets bigger. He was getting dangerous so I took him in a little early. On the plus side the other 2 steers dont follow him up to me and they have no interest in me except when I feed them.
