:lol: ;-) If the weight tape is accurate, my group of holstein heifer calves averaged 3.04lbs/day gain over the last 24 days. Group average weight was 403.3lbs. Been checking them on a monthly basis when I do their vaccinations. Calves on the nurse cow averaged 2.64lbs/day from when I put them on the cow at 205lb average in May, to 370lb average yesterday. (They get weaned tomorrow.) Calves on grain went a little lower at 2.26lbs/day, from 289lb average in May to 419lb average yesterday.

3 were on the nurse cow, just milk. 6 were on grain. All also had access to my alfalfa hay field, as did the nurse cow (who received no grain, btw).
