My gauge on the 535 is showing near bottom all the time. I'd think I had a valve or cylinder problem but bales seem dense. Dense enough I have trouble getting my fingers into the side of the bale past the second joint. Could my gauge just be bad?
Thanks.

If the roll is tight i wouldn't be concerned.

Yes, it's possible the gauge could go bad. Does the needle move any? One thing to try, if possible, if your tractor has multiple hydraulic remotes, swap remotes next time you bale. On mine, I was having trouble with the pressure not increasing as a bale was being made. Turned out, one of my couplers on the baler hoses was letting fluid bypass back to the tractor. Replaced both couplers and the problem went away. I'm also assuming your tension cylinders are in good shape, no visible leaks/oil stains? Ironically, mine are at the hydraulic shop right now getting rebuilt!

I used to have a 530, ran the pressure turned up to max. The gauge quit and started leaking out the face so I removed and bypassed the gauge. Ran it like that for years. It made nice bales.
