John Deere 1217/1219

I have a John deere 1217 mower conditioner. When its running off the ground or cutting short grass it sounds great. But as soon as you start cutting average to tall grass you hear some banging. Its hard to pinpoint bc i only her it while on the tractor.

Anyone know what might be going on?

Is it grass/sticks being thrown through the rollers and into the exit chute? My NH sounds like its going to explode sometimes.

Yea they are being thrown through. It almost sounds like sheet metal banging around while cutting

That sounds more like there's something loose and bouncing around. Can you get someone else to drive while you walk beside the cutter to get a better idea where it's coming from?

I did that today and it sounds like the rollers. I wonder if the bearing is going out or the wobble box needs something.
