I just read that Japan is contemplating allowing us to resume exporting beef to them. That's good news, I guess. One of the conditions that must first be met is for us to allow them to resume exporting Kobe beef to the U.S. It also seems that I recently read that the Japanese had discovered a possible case of BSE in their own herd? I suppose there are protocols in place to protect U.S. consumers from imported Japanese BSE contaminated beef? Is the U.S. treating Japan, and all other countries, the same as Canada?
