So what was everyones take on the sale. I had to leave before it was over so didn't see it till the end.

I was unable to attend or even watch the sale on DV Auction. How did it go?

Dwight, they had a good sale. Here is the sale report from The Stock Exchange:

Jamison Herefords Complete Female Dispersal: 34 fall calving cows/ $1726; 17 fall bred heifers/ $1808; 157 spring open heifer calves/ $1692; 313 spring bred cows/ $2568; 80 spring bred heifers/ $3098; 1 bull/ $16,000; 448 total lots grossed $1,406,720 to average $3140.

I watched most of it on DV Auctions. I was trying to pick up an older cow or two as possible donor prospects. They sold near the end of the sale, but still sold for more money than I wanted to part with for them. There were several buyers (buyer numbers) who bought a LOT of cattle. I'll bet one buyer might have purchased 100 head or more.

I'll bet I know that buyer. If it's who I think it is his ranch is justndown the road from me. Big Herford breeder who was a partner in the Jamison Ranch.

The biggest buyer was that KS buyer, The biggest from OK was the Jamison who bought the bull and numerous females
