Help Support CattleToday:

We cant tell a difference. If rain is int he forecast we use injectable. pour on is much easier, obviously.
I'm not 100% sure on Ivomec but a pfizer rep told me that injectable dectomax gets up to 3 times more in the bloodstream, better for internal worms where as the pour on is better for lice.
we use injectable w/all the cows, often accompanied by a pour-on insecticide. usually for the bulls we use pour-on right before we turn them out w/the cows in the spring.......we climb the trailer & pour it on from above them. less time in the chute, less hassling of them & often their necks are too thick for the headgate to hold them.
