Well not too much but the ground is white this morning. Still dark out and I haven't ventured out yet but it looks like less than an inch. There have been several days with snow up on the hills around here but this morning it finally made it to the valley floor. I have been saying I have too much to get done before winter hits. Looks like winter is on its way.

Our first accumulating snow was over a month ago. It's melted and reappeared a few times since.

I too have lots of projects to accomplish so I'm hoping the deep snow holds off a little while yet.

Living here in the desert we rarely get an accumulation of deep snow. The forecast says 38 this afternoon so this snow will probably be gone by 3:00 or 4:00. There is some snow on most of the days in the 10 day forecast. But low in the upper 20's and high around 40 it will just be a regular snow at night and melt during the day.
The last cord of firewood is sitting at the wood shed door waiting to be split and stacked inside. There is 800 pounds of seed that needs to get spread up on the fire area. That tow behind the quad spreader doesn't get things done very fast. Several places the fence needs repair. The list goes on...........

About 4" yesterday, so far we have been fortunate with above normal temperatures. Been feeding for a couple of days usually I am feeding by Halloween.

It's still in the 70's here. Gets down in the 50's on clear nights, 60's when cloudy or raining. All the Bermuda is done, now. And I noticed the Kudzu down on our place is going dormant, Still green, but no longer growing. Later on in the week, it is supposed to only get to 50's for the high. Should get our 1st frost soon, and that will turn the Kudzu yellow. On the bright side, it will get cool enough for the beagles and bird dogs to hunt well. But, only 101 days til spring, and 219 days til summer! :) I can't wait!
