Is it a 6x5 or a 5x6 bale?

Okay, I've got a dumb question for you guys. When talking about round bale sizes, does the width measurement come first or the diameter (height) measurement come fitst? I've seen it both ways. I learned to say 6x5, but I'm thinking now I've been saying it wrong.

Around here the width comes first. Our baler bales a 5 wide and 4 high, so it is called a 5x4. You could just get a 4x4 or 5x5 baler and be right either way.

That's how it's done here too.

I've always went with width first also. But I've wondered if it was wrong since Vermeer balers go with diameter first in their model numbers.
