Had some thin stands after an open winter, a hard freeze killing off the frost seeded clover, and no renovating in recent years. Then the rain came down. A couple inches at first, and then 10 to 12 inches over 3 weeks. Now the seed bank exploded and I have tall and thick grass everywhere. A lot of it is native blue grass with some timothy, clover, quack grass, and orchard grass in the mix. Now I am tempted to leave the plow parked...
